The Quantitative Aptitude section of SSC CGL is not rocket science. Basically, it’s 10 and 12th maths.

So, in short, the answer to your question is Yes, You can. Now, let’s solve this technically.

For tier I the total number of questions is 100 and the maximum marks that can be scored is 200. Normally the cut off for tier I will be between 150 to 180.

These are the topics for tier I

  • General Intelligence Reasoning - 25 Questions
  • General Awareness- 25 Questions
  • Quantitative Aptitude- 25 Questions
  • English Comprehension- 25 Questions

To clear Tier I, you have to score a minimum of 150. So, you should have to make 75 right answers.

So, technically the marks you can’t score in the math section should be scored in the other 3 subjects. You have three choices with you

  • Learn all the math topics along with other subjects.
  • Learn the other 3 subjects thoroughly so you don’t have to care about the math section.
  • Learn easy topics from maths and thoroughly learn the other 3 subjects.

How to study?

  • Download the Syllabus from here
  • Join Online Mock Tests. My recommendation is Testbook
  • Make a timetable for yourself and strictly follow.
  • Always remember there is a bunch of candidates who knew maths and other subjects. You have to work hard
  • Increase your accuracy. You don’t have many points to lose.
  • Go through a minimum 5 years of the previous question paper. SSC CGL by Kiran is the best in the market with a detailed solution and no error.
  • For General Awareness either go through newspapers like The Hindu or buy General Awareness Capsule by Disha Experts which also available free on Kindle.
  • For English SSC English by Ajay K Singh is the best option.
